Richard S. Barlass Jr., 65, of Janesville passed away at his home on Monday, August 20, 2012.  Richard was born in Edgerton on September 29, 1946, the son of Richard and Bette Lou (Slowey) Barlass. He married Vicki Jo Smith on July 13, 1974. He was employed as a skilled machinist at Sterling Manufacturing.
Surviving are his two children, Shane (Amanda) Barlass and Leah Barlass, his grandson, Bryce Barlass all of Janesville, the mother of his children, Vicki Jo Barlass of Reedsburg, WI and his three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, with a celebration of life to immediately follow. Military rites will be conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Arrangements by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
